Rodrigo Quiñones Reyes
Rodrigo Quiñones Reyes (1981, México City), Bachelor of Visual Arts at the School of Arts of Yucatan specializing in cultural management, curacy and contemporary art productions. Working as a visual artist he has exhibited at the Califia Gallery in Prague, the cultural Image Factory in Belize, The Collection of Joseph and Marie in New York, The Museum of Science and Arts in Mexico City and at The House of Latin Catalunya in Barcelona.
As curator and organizer of cultural events he has collaborated with The Institute of Culture of Yucatan ICY, The Contemporary Art Museum Ateneo of Yucatán MACAY, The Marist University, The organization; Safe Planet (UN) and Volkswagen Mexico. During the last 3 years he has worked alongside the sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor in the creation of moulds and sculptures for MUSA (Museum of Underwater Art).
Quiñones’s work over the past 10 years has been divided between research and contemporary art production and has been published in El Universal (newspaper), Journal Code 06140, Replica21 and the Boston Globe among others.
